Role:

This role involves assisting the lead of a large group or classroom in fostering a fun, safe, and engaging learning environment for children, emphasizing the love of Christ

Responsibilities:

• Communication: Respond promptly to Planning Center serving requests and maintain required child safety clearances

• Arrival & Setup: Arrive at 8:30A/10:30A to set up the classroom and join the team in prayer

• Child Interaction: Greet each child, verify their sign-in, ensure they wear a security sticker, and create a fun, engaging environment through play and communication

• Classroom Support: Assist the classroom leader with management, safety, lessons, and activities while modeling Christ’s love through care and prayer

• Safety Procedures: Follow handbook protocols (e.g., never being alone with a child, restroom monitoring, notifying parents for specialized needs)

• Reporting & Cleanup: Report concerns to the classroom lead, support dismissal, and assist in cleaning up the classroom

• Attend quarterly volunteer trainings

 

Qualifications:

• Completed necessary child clearances

• A love for children and teaching them about Jesus

 

Time Commitment Per Week:

1-2 hours/week (Every other Sunday either 9A or 11A service)

 

Commitment Period:

We ask that our volunteers in this role commit to serve in this capacity for 1 year
